In the world of finance, clarity and precision are everything. This collection showcases my UI/UX work for fintech dashboards, where I translate complex financial data into intuitive, human-centered interfaces. From SaaS tools that analyze structured debt instruments like CDOs to real-time payment apps and SEO platforms, each dashboard is designed with performance, usability, and trust in mind. My focus is on blending financial rigor with design empathy making intricate systems feel approachable for both institutional investors and everyday users.

Overview

Structured credit products like CDOs are essential to institutional finance, yet the tools that manage and analyze them are often outdated, unintuitive, or overly technical. ClarityCDO was designed to solve this by offering a web-based experience that presents credit exposure, tranche structures, and performance indicators in a modern, responsive, and visually clear format. This case study showcases how I applied product thinking and data visualization principles to reimagine how finance professionals interact with layered debt products.

Problem

A Legacy of Obscurity in Credit Markets

Institutional investors and credit analysts often rely on fragmented spreadsheets and legacy tools to monitor CDO performance, making it difficult to see real-time risks or identify underperforming assets. This complexity doesn’t just slow down workflows it obscures decision-making. With billions of dollars riding on timing and precision, there’s no room for obscurity in structured credit.

Solution

Bringing Clarity to Complexity

ClarityCDO reimagines the CDO monitoring experience with a SaaS interface that blends financial precision with design empathy. The platform introduces modular dashboards, dynamic risk indicators, and intuitive data visualization to make structured credit more human-readable.

UX Audit

Ensure DriftPay's onboarding flow exceeds user expectations by auditing competitors and solving for friction points in P2P payment apps.

Competitive Analysis

I reviewed marketing and product pages of competitors like PayPal and other financial institutions to gather best practices and inspiration.

Key UX Issues Identified Across Competitors

Across competitive fintech products, several key UX issues were identified during the audit. Most platforms overwhelm new users with extensive sign-up forms before establishing trust or offering reassurance, creating friction at a critical point in the journey. Additionally, the absence of contextual help such as explanations for why certain personal information is required can leave users feeling unsure or even suspicious. Many onboarding flows also lack human-centered touches, like emoji feedback, animations, or real-time encouragement, which could otherwise ease tension and create a more inviting experience. Finally, the lack of clear progress indicators often results in confusion about how long onboarding will take, increasing the likelihood of drop-offs.

Frequent back-and-forth for content approvals required additional coordination with the marketing team and legal department was the challenge for me during this project. •

Visual Design

Using the font Inter, for maximum legibility.

Color palette blue primary (#2B67F6) for trust, mint green for success states, and white backgrounds to reduce visual noise.

Added motion with slide-in transitions, loading dots, and emoji feedback to humanize interactions.

Added accessibility with WCAG-compliant contrast and large tap areas.

Users choose their accent color during onboarding for personalization.

Outcome


I reduced projected onboarding time to under 45 seconds, Improved clarity with 60% fewer user taps compared to traditional flows, designed with future growth in mind: The modular onboarding flow allows for easy A/B testing of new features like crypto wallet integration or biometric security, delivered dev-ready handoff with annotated frames, reusable UI components, and interaction specs.
